IO Mail (the "App") is an e-mail client developed by Iyonosfer Yazılım Hizmetleri ("we"). This policy explains which data the App processes and how it is protected.

1. Data we process

Account details

The address, server settings and password of the e-mail accounts you add. Passwords are stored only in your device's secure storage (Android Keystore, iOS Keychain). For Iyonosfer accounts your password is passed to the Iyonosfer mail server only to verify you when registering for notifications, and is not stored.

Mail content

Your messages, attachments and contacts are stored only on your device for offline access. They are not uploaded to our servers.

Rules and labels (Iyonosfer accounts only)

For accounts hosted on the Iyonosfer server, the rules you define and your label assignments are sent to the Iyonosfer server so they can be synced between your devices and applied server-side. They are tied to your account and removed when the account is deleted.

Push registration

For instant notifications on Iyonosfer accounts, your device's notification identifier (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) and e-mail address are registered on the Iyonosfer server. Notifications are delivered through Google Firebase and, on iOS, the Apple Push Notification service; they never carry message bodies, only the sender name and subject. Turning off notifications for an account removes its registration from the server.

Task assignment

When you assign a task to someone, its title, details and due date are sent from your own mail account to that person as a regular e-mail. Accept, decline and completion replies also arrive by e-mail. No additional server is involved.

Device contacts (optional)

If you grant permission, your device contacts are read to suggest recipients and show sender photos. "Add to contacts" opens the system contact screen; a contact is only added if you save it. "Sync with contacts" lists the people you email and adds only the ones you select. Contact data never leaves the device.

Device calendar (optional)

"Add to calendar" hands the event to the system calendar app. The App does not read your calendar.

Advertising

The app shows no ads and contains no advertising or tracking SDKs. Your advertising ID is not collected.

2. Data transfer

All network connections are encrypted with TLS. Your device talks directly to your mail servers (IMAP/SMTP). Your data is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.

3. Retention and deletion

Removing an account in the App (Settings → Accounts → Remove account) deletes all local data of that account. Rule, label and push records on the Iyonosfer server are deleted when the account is removed. Uninstalling the App deletes all local data.

To request deletion of server-side records separately, write to destek@iyonosfer.com; requests are handled within 30 days.
